About

Me getting murdered in horror spoof Rispsaw: Revenge of the Dead

I'm a dyslexic writer currently living in Hertfordshire. I have a degree in Film from the University of Newport, Wales where I majored in screenwriting.

In April 2014 I decided to self-publish my first novel as I was unable to find an agent to promote the book due to the reason of it being "remarkably funny, but completely unmarketable".

In March 2015 I wrote and directed a one-act play called Thank You For Protesting which went on to win the New Writing Award at the Waltham Forest Festival of Theatre and the NDFA George Taylor Memorial Award in the NDFA Playwriting Competition.

Interview in the Chingford Times - 16th April 2015

I am a published playwright with both Stagescripts and Lazy Bee Scripts. I regularly write plays which are performed in theatre festivals across the UK and have also been performed in the United States and Australia. My full playwriting credits can be found here.

My other work includes writing short films, radio plays, and television sitcoms.

While studying at college and university, I used to make short films with my mates to pass the time. Above is me getting stabbed in the neck in '70s slasher spoof Ripsaw: Revenge of the Dead. You can watch these terrible short comedies on my YouTube channel.

This Blog

I write fake diary entries for a confused teenage punk, a depression football hooligan and an obese man on a fasting diet for reasons that are unclear.

I also like to make up stories about minor British celebrities and send them to my co-workers as fact. A surprisingly high number of them think they are true and are apparently oblivious to the existence of Google.

Fun Fact

I was once fired from British entertainment retailer HMV. The dismissal came after I was discovered to be the culprit behind changing scores of movie synopsis's via the company's central mainframe. All changes involved erasing the original movie plot outlines and replacing them with fictitious ones featuring Adam Sandler.

The edits were discovered after an employee recommended Luc Besson's 1994 assassin masterpiece Leon off the back of a tampered synopsis. The customer returned the DVD unhappy that the film wasn't actually about Adam Sandler having to manage a zoo in downtown Baghdad with hilarious consequences.

HMV found over a hundred movie synopsis were tampered with between December 2011 and May 2012, but the exact number of affected titles is still unclear.

HMV went into administration in 2013. The incidents are not thought to be related.
